Ethiopia Media Women's Association is an association of female journalists, media nad communication experts. Was founded in 1997 to promote women's rights and issues of women's concern in, and through, the media. It has 167 members in Addis Ababa and regions.

TAMWA (Tanzania Media Women's Association)
Tanzania Media Women's Association is a non-partisan, non-profit sharing profiessional media Association registered under the Societies Ordinance on 17th of November 1987. The Association brining together more than 100 women journalists uses media to advocate for \women and children's rights.

UMWA (Uganda Media Women's Association)
Uganda Media Women's Association came into existence in 1983 after the realisation that Uganda did not have an umberella body to cater for the professional interests of media women as well as the informatino needs of the marginalized in society. SInce its inception in 1983, UMWA has opened and runs two women focussed media outlets - a radio station, 101.7 Mama FM and a newspaper, The Other Voice (TOV)
