|
| Skin is an abbount of real life experience. Ten white Afrikaners, unaware of their black ancestry. Despite Sandra's mixed-race appearance, her parents lovingly bring her up as a 'white' little girl. When sent to a boarding school where her (white) brother Leon also studies, parents and teachers protest a black child-Sandra's presence in a school for whites only. State officials examine & classify her as 'Colored'. Misfit Sandra is expelled from school. Not just shocked, her parents fight through law courts and Sandra becomes officially 'White'. But, she falls in love and Petrus a black man, and begins an unlawful love affair bitterly protested by Abraham, her father. |
